In short, no as it doesn't have DISEqC 1.2 control :)
 
Nor does it have the ability to deal with the wider range of Symbol Rates used across the arc.

Best to get a proper Satellite Receiver.
 
You can plug your Ѕky box in to the LNB out socket of any modern receiver.

Good combination. Use you other box to move the dish and only turn on the Ѕky box when you need it. Throw your Ѕky mini-dish away.

Not really as the sky box still has a very limited ability regarding Symbol rates and FEC rates, thus a large number of channels will never be received, I recommend a sky box is used as what it was designed for sky tv reception!
 
A fixed dish for Freesat/Sky and a separate motorised one, is usually the best way to go. That way the Sky box will be permanently connected and get whatever updates it needs.

I used a motorised 1M dish with an Invacom Twin. One feed goes to the Sly box and the others to my Manahattan Plaza.

I leave the dish at 28E overnight.

Manhattan Plaza XT-CM, Technomate TM-2300 Super, 1.0M Unisat offset, Invacom Twin in Latvia (42E to 30W) and Humax Foxsat HD, 1.8 prime focus Famaval, (fixed on 28.2E), Invacom Twin in Spain
