Mount setup ideas needed

My Satellite Setup
80 cm - 4 arm LNB holder. 0.8W, 9E, 13E, 19.2E.
My Location
Padborg, Denmark
In few weeks time I am moving to Denmark. I am going to be living in a rent apartment and I cannot install a satellite dish with a mount that is bolted or otherwise nailed down on a wall and that type of stuff. It is due to rental agreements and stuff like that.

I currently own a 40cm dish that I plan to use in Denmark. Later on I might get a 50cm dish to replace it, or even up to 65 cm dish. But I need know what I can buy to use outside that is easy to setup and is not nailed down. Here in Iceland I did once see a tourist from Europe with a satellite dish on a tri-foot. I have the idea that I might be able to use that in Denmark if I can. But I do not know what it is named.

That would work or a patio mount if you have a South facing balcony.
 
A patio mount or bang a square fencepost into the ground and bolt the mount to that.
 
Or if you're feeling cheap, how about a nice flowerpot? ;)

I got a apartment on a 3rd floor. But I do not know if I got a balcony or not. But the flower pot idea is good, as it is easy to make it heavy and stable. I also don't need a large pipe for a 40cm satellite dish.
 
I only did that because I'm moving soon, when I move I'll get my three dishes on a T&K mount but thought it may come in handy for you. A patio mount with a paving stone is probably the most stable though
 
Can I get a signal trough a window (if it points to the south) ? I ask in the case that I don't have a out door option to work with.
 
It is possible to receive a signal through a window, but many multi-pane sealed units have a high lead content and will not pass satellite signals.
 
Through windows you also tend to find that one polarity passes better than others so you only get half the channels.

I minor update on this. I got the 40 cm disk up and running. I do get 1W good. Most of the transponders appear to be in, but I did notice that few transponders where weaker then they should be. I am assuming this lack of signal is due to the window, as it drops the signal strength. I am getting up to ~88% signal with 60 to 80% quality. This works as a temporary solution. But I would not want to use this as a long time solution. But I plan to place the dish outside the window, when I figure out how. Because I really cannot make any changes or drill into the wall of the apartment that I am renting (it would create damage to the house).

I am going to upload a picture of this tomorrow. :)
 
Here is a picture of the set-up of the dish. This is not the best solution. But it works.

Enterprising and eminently practical.
 
If you have problems with the window cutting down on the signal, make a wood frame for around the window and insert some plexiglass into it, it will keep the weather and bugs out and you can enjoy the satellite.

Great idea on the mount for the dish.

I am going to move the dish out soon. I just don't know when at this moment. I am also renting the apartment that I live in. So that is not a option in reality.
