guys
can anyone help me network mount an external HDD connected to my Mac Mini (via firewire) on my DM8000? for info i'm running nabilo BH
i can mount folders on the Mac Mini ok, but can't get to the external HDD where my EyeTV recordings are saved. i'd prefer to keep the EyeTV recordings on the external drive since it has more storage capacity and to reduce wear and tear on the Mac's HDD. an alternative may be to record direct to the DM8000 HDD over the network, but i'm concerned that the network speed may not be quick enough to support writing high data rates (the Mac Mini is connected to the network on a 1M connection, but of course the DM8000 only supports 10/100 network connections).
i've tried mounting the folder /Volumes/IomegaHDD (the name of the HDD and the local address for the external HDD on the Mac Mini), but no success.
any ideas?
