My Satellite Setup
OpenBox X5 on a 1 meter motorized dish.
And now a 10 foot "C" band dish.

Custom built PC
My Location
Deep in the Boonies in the central Sierra Nevada mountains of California.
Why would you need to do this?

And the skew settings would remain the same as long as the LNB is in the right orientation for the satellites your looking for. (LNB is not mounted up-side-down also)

It is quite common to do so but only in very hot countries that have little or no rain as otherwise the dish will tend to fill with water depending on the sat being received

There is always an exception, if it can be done someone will do it, of course in hot countries which tend to be nearer the equator, the arc is more overhead, hence the dish would be lying on it's back looking straight up, indeed there is a photo somewhere on the forum of someone with just that setup and it rains once per year for which he has drilled a drainhole at the lowest point

The reason I installed it upside down was to keep it lower to the ground. This keeps the neighbours happy as most can't see it from over the fence and it is protected from the wind. I can't see more than 52e and 34w so I had it as low to the ground as possible.
