MR cam problems

I purchased a MR cam with 1.070 already loaded apparently but i have not been able to get it identified by either of my receivers namely TRIAX DVB65s and DIGIQUEST 8000sci(both have 2 CI's).
I have tried everything, but still get CAM not installed on the ci menu.
Could it be (a) no software installed
(b)software corrupted
(c)fake mr

Would the above lead to no show in the ci menu.
I presume the only solution would be to get a cas 2 interface?
How long does it roughly take for a cam to initialise?

May be a problem with initialising, my Digiquest wouldn't initialise a newly flashed CAM . Do you know anyone with another make of receiver or do you have a laptop with a PCMCIA slot?
 
I suppose the test maybe to erase the 1.070 and update the cam to 1.080. You would want to do that anyway, even if 1.070 was working.
