A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

Shouldnt be, though Windows XP is rather picky about selection of ports and allowing data straight into the programmer

Which CAM ?

i think its the hardware rather than software on the laptops? as i tried 3 "modern" DELL laptops (or it could just be Dells) but nothing, no matter what i tried, i ended up using an ancient laptop made by commodore of all people - LOL!

i beleive from memory that toshibas are better for pcmcia also, as they have bios settings that u can change, phoenix ami-bios bios's that dell use have no settings therefore, old 16 bit cards are never detected - only the new 32bit cardbus cards.

pls correct me if im wrong. but this is what i found.
