I am a novice and would like some help with my setup.
I want to setup a fixed dish multi lnb system with a technomate 9100, 90cm metronic dish and 3 lnbs.
I installed the dish with 1 lnb pointing at 28.2 some time ago, everything worked fine after some fun with the tuning. I was getting about 80% signal strength.
I bought a multi lnb arm and a monoblock lnb for Astra 1 (19) and Hotbird (13) - this one. _http://www.dipol.com.pl/pict/a98315+.jpg
when I installed the multi lnb arm the lnb holder now rests on top of the arm so it is a little higher than when it was in the original holder - this has resulted in a drop in signal strenght and a loss of about 1/2 the channels.
Do I need to adjust the elevation to account for the change of lnb position?
Next - I have a separate coax running into the house for the monoblock lnb. For now I will swith the coax in at the receiver until I get a DiSEqC switch.
If I keep the dish pointed at 28.2 the new lnb for astra1/hotbird will sit to the right as I face the dish - correct? The arm is completly flat - does this lnb need to be higher or lower.
Lastly, (for now!), how do I configure the technomate for the astra1/hotbird lnb. There are multiple options - 2 satellites via toneburst, 22khz etc. I think I should run the coax to my other fta receiver that has the channels for those 2 satellites pre-programmed until I get it tuned correctly.
Thoughts?
