hello, i am condorfly and i am glad to here
i've bought lately a multi protocol switch called b.e.s.t germany with 8 enteries and 1 out
i've tried hardly to configure this out with my dreambox 800 HD pvr, ut i can't get no signal, i've tried the two ways of the tutorial of the analoguesat, but the problem still, and when i put back my 4 lnbs disecq back i have a great signal from the first 4 lnbs
i use gemini 4.70, do i miss something in my configuration? do i need a new image for this new setting?
please help
thanks

hello nice system.
first of all the satellite receiver needs fo be configered differently but some remains the same.
lnb all must ne universal because you have a single lnb output.
universal lnb and 22 khz on lnb power on as well
input needs to be set up as follows
disc a input 1
disec b input 2
disec c input 3
diesc d input 4
tone burst 1
tome burst 2
tone bust 3
tone burst 4

you need to see how many options the multiswitch has and how many the receiver has as well

hello again,
need more information on your box and your multiswitch.
if your box has only 4 different tone possibility and the switch has 8 then 4 will not work.
there is a possibility the satellite box will not generate more than 4 tones.
or 4 tones are not compatable .
multiswitch has 4 tone defective as well.
if the box cannot talk to the switch or the switch cannot hear the tone than there will be the problem.
so far can you confirm the first 4 inputs do work.
and are they disec a,b,c,d?
ralph

Have you tried using DiSEqC 1.1 or 1.2? Then you use the complex/motorised DiSEqC commands, allocating satellite positions 1 to 8 for your LNBs.

Don't use USALS, just DiSEqC 1.2, then go into the satellites list, pick your satellites and save them with the appropriate numbers. Not sure how the menus appear, as i haven't used a Dreambox for a while.

The increase voltage setting will be for driving a motor.

Hi,
Can you please describe your setting procedure more precisely. I am breaking my head almost a week with the building dish system, which has similar configuration. Unfortunately the technician in charge has 0 knowledge of DM. I am using DM 600PVR with Gemini 4.70 image.
Thank you in advance!

i also had the same problem. spent a week with a sunray 800hd se and an edision multiswitch. i installed 3 x quattro universal lnb with (HH LH HV LV). very straight forward easy stuff. i then connected the respective connection to the multiswitch and on the sunray setup a simple a/b/c/d and pointed each lnb to each of the ports. but nothing. got about 15 channels from hotbird and nothing from astra. i was simply trying to connect 13e, 19e, 28.2e...in order to feed 5 receivers. i am sure it's in the setup. has anyone tried this kind of setup before? can you shed any light on it?
