I had asked some years ago for W4 Russia beam and somebody answered that nearby London a 3.7m could catch some few. This is a hell of beam falling over Germany westwards very quickly. 20km NE of Ulm a 2.40m with a circular LNB cannot get the whole beam whereas in Cottbus a 1.20m is just enough.

For the rest i cannot help you, sorry.

I get Eutelsat 36 East strong here.

You want some pictures from me? :D

you get quite alot on that 90cm fibo

yes if you could LOL , likvid what part of sweden are you in again and what beams can you get from 36'e

I know Likvid. W4 gets stronger the more north you move as well. A friend in Stockholm even gets signal on his common 80cm Offset.

C band on 68.5 east muiltichoice - can be received in most areas of the UK on a high specification /quality solid 1.8/2.0 mtr mtr prime focus with an ADI feedhorn with a 15 k lnb.

In Beligum W4 East is ok on a 3.8 mtr with ADI C 400 feedhorn and PLL LNB

Kind Regards

Old satellite, this 3.8m in Belgium does it receive all frequencies of W4 Russia beam permanently ? Any signal on the Africa Beam as well ?

And please allow me this short OT: Does this dish also get all 42E East beam frequencies 24/7 or is it still far too small ?

I am interested also in other satellites/beams but this requires a separate topic. If you have time to check, i would open one.

Thanks a lot for this rare report :)

Hi there,

W4 east are ok and stable however Africa beams are not received

on 42 East I have some partly reception on clear and perfect weather conditions. When there were analogues transponders a few years ago it was an easy task with bandwidth reduction however with Digitial it is much more difficult.
Please also be aware that I am using cp400 ADI Professional feeds with ADL Phased locked loop Lnbs .

My best records are signals from Asia close at the horizon in Belgium like 78.5 and 80 degree east.- generally recieved perfectly now all nearly all transponders on both satellites.

I have access with out restriction from 80 degree east through to approx 65 west with partly horizon view to approx 70 west.
