This is not an advert :) I post this info purely as info.
If anyone wants to be able to view multiple channel listings, eg Sky,BBC,ORF,Belgium,Germany etc,
there is a very handy program called FreeGuide which is Open Source. I promote and support it via _http://www.kudos.byethost15.com/freeguide/ and in various forums

Looks interesting.

Not downloaded yet, but the idea seems a good one.

BTW, I copied the entire link line including the last phrase, and got redirected elsewhere.

The essential bit is, of course:

_http://www.kudos.byethost15.com/freeguide/

Some forums are very fussy about displaying active links !

Including this one ............

No, the issue was that at first glance "and various forums" is part of the Link - to the extent that when copying it as written it doesn't work.

I've just truncated it so it does, without having to consider the last bit.

I shall have a play with it maybe tomorrow.

Could this be used to update the sqlite database in the dm500s, I know you have to map the channels but once that is done it should hopefully work and give access to epg for more channels

The Freeguide info comes from XMLTV which is what drives Myth TV. The output data is in XML format and should be relatively easy to convert. Try the XMLTV forum on SourceForge
