Hi, I have a 4 way switch going into my DM HD box but I'd like to add another two sats, I have another diseqc switch but I'm not sure how exactly to set them up.

Is it possible to link switches to switches?

Ian! To have more than 4 sats you just have to change your 1/4 Diseqc to one which has 6, 8, 10 or 16 inputs. In addition you have to have receiver which supports protocol 1.1.
BTW: You have said you will come to Latvia one one day to pick up some dishes.

Rima! That's what I suspected. Went to get one today but had none in stock. Just thought maybe I could pair them.

I was in Latvia but didn't have time to visit. Will be going back soon I think.

You could easily pair 2 4output diseqc swithes using a relay switch.
The first 4 satellites will be output 1 of the relay switch, the next 4 satellites will be on output 2 of the realy switch.

search for spaun relay switch on google
Go for model SUR 211F

Works nicely when you cannot get an 8 output diseqc switch.
There is a 4 output reay from spaun as well as a 2 output.

here is an example of the setup:

First 4 LNBs
Configuration Mode = advanced
Satellite = Hotbird 13E
Voltage mode = Polarization
Tone mode = Band
LNB = LNB 1 … 4
DiSEqC mode = 1.1
Toneburst = None
Committed DiSEqC command = AA, AB, BA, BB
Fast DiSEqC = Yes
Sequence repeat = Yes
Command order = uncommited, commited, toneburst
Uncommitted DiSEqC command = Input 1
DiSEqC repeats = none
LOF = Universal LNB
Increased voltage = yes (if wire is long)
Polarity = Auto
Tone Amplitude = 800mV

Next 4LNBs
Configuration Mode = advanced
Satellite = Badr 26E
Voltage mode = Polarization
Tone mode = Band
LNB = LNB 5 … 8
DiSEqC mode = 1.1
Toneburst = None
Committed DiSEqC command = AA, AB, BA, BB
Fast DiSEqC = Yes
Sequence repeat = Yes
Command order = uncommited, commited, toneburst
Uncommitted DiSEqC command = Input 2
DiSEqC repeats = none
LOF = Universal LNB
Increased voltage = yes (if wire is long)
Polarity = Auto
Tone Amplitude = 800mV

The cheapest 8 port I have ever found is the Gecen GD-81E ...diseqc 1.1
Available on ebay ..
Search by model number :- GD-81E to find it.
Low loss and very effective.
