Hi all, this is my problem, I have sattelite dish with one LNB, and one receiver, now I have 6 rooms in my house with six Tv's , I'd like to make multiroom system but only with one receiver, is it possible, like in hotels only TV to be on desk without second or multi receivers.

Six persons to watch different channels.

thanks all

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

For six people to watch six different channels, you need six separate boxes, with each one set to a different UHF frequency, I don't know how, or even if, it would work with a TV-Link setup though... :)

Possible to distribute one channel to six zones by using the receivers RF modulator and feeding that into a distribution amplifier to serve the rooms.

No forget the Spc4, that's for more than one receiver as quoted in member 2cv's post.

As 2Cv says, for six different channels you need six receivers.

Do the receivers HAVE to be in a different place to the TVs? It would be far easier to put each receiver next to a TV and then connect with a scart (peritel) or HDMI lead.

You will also need to change your LNB. It may be possible to fit an eight ouput LNB (Octo) but we really need to know which satellite you are watching and what size and type of satellite dish you have before going into specific suggestions.

Can you confirm you want the one satellite channel viewed in all rooms OR different channels available as your first post covers two different systems. The latter can be achieved with receivers in one location by the use of a complex matrix switching distribution system or by RF as briefly mentioned.

Yes - 6 different receivers each with an individual cable from the dish.

You can't have different channels for each room from one receiver - simple as that.
