On the way to me from Portugal an extremely rare turntable - the Sharp RP107. Plays vinyl like CDs both sides without turning disc over and programmable track play.

HTF does it identify the track start and ends ???

There is something similar I our local charidee shop. Not a Sharp mind, but not a plastic deck either. I'll get the detail Monday

He was asking £450 for it but we eventually settled on £390 plus £24 shipping - fully dealer serviced new belts and stylii. I have been after one of these for a couple of years. In the US they sell upwards of $450 plus shipping of $120 and are 110v.

This will relegate my Sharp RP7100 direct drive traditional style deck (also with same programme track system which works well on most disks) to a spare

There were quite a few manufacturers of front loading turntables inc Panasonic, Pioneer, Sansui, Sony and even Amstrad. Very few played both sides or were programmable.
