Took my 3 year old 80cm down and bought a 1.1m dish
fought to get it up on the pole and it was real heavy
and wouldn't keep straight, sold it very quick and went
for the Penta 85cm. I see a big difference with it s/s
is much better and you gotta admit it looks good AND
its so light......no comments on my black and white
cables please.:) also bought a dm800hd clone had it
2 weeks and sold it then bought a dm500hd original.

Nice job.

Recommend you ensure the pics are Thumbnails - clicking on your Thread brought my lightning fast Lappie to a grinding halt!

Great set up mate, what's with the black and white cables though? :D

Please dont use image code on the forum - if the pics get moved or deleted in the future we end up with a thread full of missing pics (and it can cause problams on slower broadband connections as well!)

Upload them here instead.

Nice install.

If you can, see if you could nip off the u clamp studs as they can rub against the cable possibly pulling the cables free from the motor as it turns.

Err, yes, didn't notice that before, you will get problems with it like that, when you go a reasonable amount east or west.

Another trick is to make the cable up a bit longer, and send it up the back of the dish, over the top of the motor, back down again, then up to the connector.

Nice, looks like you have a good arc by there! What satman and robbo said about the cables near the motor though.

1st...sorry about the picture format i will remember in future AND thanks
for the tips, i will trip the ends off those clamps as soon as it stops raining.

Ive got a penta - best performing dish under 1m I reckon

How much are penta dishes?

Also if I had a normal 1m dish, what would be the penta equivalent?

Penta 85cm was 70 quid and alternative would be 1.1m steel dish-weighs a ton-
probable 50ish.

The FR penta85 will perform as good as a 90cm -100cm, but not all. For pricing, try our site sponsors.
