To not invent the wheel again and again, just checked position of central LNB and took some measurements which can be very easy measured (mind, I do not use terms "antenna's focus" and "LNB's phase center" ). I know, that original CM LNB holder holds LNB in slightly different position, but that is, again, my personal opinion about proper position of the LNB. So, I will use these data to check whether my new LNB-holder does the job.

Some time ago I've made multifeed for CM120 IMG_20160824_110407 (Custom).jpg , not because I needed that but just to test the idea. Today I dismounted that multifeed and it is nothing else but bunch of nuts&bolts, some threaded rods etc IMG_20161108_195153 (Custom).jpg . All those parts will go to "Lego suitcase" IMG_20161108_195403 (Custom).jpg or "Lego basket" IMG_20161108_195410 (Custom).jpg or whatever. Those storages are actually very helpful, it is always possible to dig in and find something helpful.

I think it is better to make LNB holder for C-band LNB (63,5mm clamp) and use it for Ku-band LNB via spacer-adapter. Anyway, I need to lift up the clamp little bit higher, approximately 1,5cm, will do that at the later stage.

I adjusted holder in height little bit IMG_20161109_195516 (Custom).jpg , but, you know, it is not easy to get exact height..... and I've said to myself "Why a minute, why do not you make LNB adjustable in 3D?" Good question! So, I made a new one, which is strong and can hold LNB in proper place, and this place can be easily adjusted. What I need now is bring antenna outside and catch some signals. I do not know do I really want to do some job outside... this is picture of dashboard this morning (apparently not Škoda , BTW :-rofl2, so measurements are more or less right) IMG_20161109_081629 (Large).jpg

You would probably disqualify my if if you discover that sometimes I work under influence . Just kidding. But if somebody need drawing of my LNB-holder for CM dish, I can probably provide that.

Still experimenting with LNB-holders for CM dish. After some doubts that side-feedarms will obstruct placement of conical feedhorn for C-band LNB decided to widen the holder little bit. Unfortunately I do not have conical feedhorn, installed flat feedhorn and seems that now it is OK.

That is what I feel too, but, anyway, it is better to have conical in hands.

Have made and sent to end-users several LNB-holders for their CM dishes. Unfortunately I did not have possibility to install such a holder in real SAT-signal hunt (only garage install took place). Hopefully will have positive feedback from people already received them. Of course, each holder should be adjusted very individually on particular dish, but, I think, it is possible to place LNB exactly in the position that it's phase center is co-located with antenna's focal point (I am pretty sure about that). It is also possible to change LNB's leaning and aim it where user wist it to be aimed (center of the dish or towards proper G-spot).

I've got some friends over today, so could not post timely that I've got my first 4k channels received today! Installed 55cm mortised antenna especially for the garage (red arrow) , which was Fibo 55. So, from 13* got couple of FTA 4 promo-channels. I would not say that it is huge difference from simple HD channel, but fun, anyway. I do not know what is bitrate of the video signal, as TV can not measure it, but, for sure, it is better than usual HD bitrate.

Today Santa (@Captain Jack ) brought me present! I thought it is small but never expected that this dish is so small! What a nice piece of art, small jewel. I just love it! Of course I need to make motorized mount, feedarms, LNB-holder and find smallest possible LNB. That is going to be fun.
