Hello to all,

Till now I was using the following:

SL-55, DVB-S receiver, with a motor for rotating the dish. I made some pictures of the current setup below. Basically I am looking for a brand new receiver, since its just making weird noises atm and possibly a new dish so I can get rid of the motor and catch 2 satelites or more.

What kind of setup do you recommend?

I would buy a DiSEqC motor, which will work with most modern receivers and maintain your motorised system, your existing rotator doesn't appear to follow the arc.

Thanks for the quick reply rolfw.

1. About the motor, isn't there a posibility of multiheaded dish which would get signals from several satelites?

2. I am really intersted in some good receiver boxes. I found this on the german Amazon.

Yes, you can have a fixed dish with more than one LNB on it to pick up more than one satellite.

What satellites are you trying to pick up?

There is the Wavefrontier T90 that will pick up 'lots' of satellites.

A standard 80cm to 1m dish will pick up up 4 to 6 satellites.

Depends what you're after.

Unless you need receivers in different rooms, a diseqc motor is the best option.

I need 1 receiver atm, I have been picking up Astra 19.2E, however I found some additional FTA channels on Eurobird 9.0E and Hotbird 13.0E.

Although there is a limited number of HD chanels, I am looking for a DVB-S2 receiver with posibility of cards if I get a subscribtion for something. Thanks for the help so far Robbo.
