My wifes going mad with my pixles!

Hi,

I have a Technomate 3200 Combo box with a 90cm dish on Atlantic Brid 3 (5W) as this dish get my wife some French channels.

For the last 2 weeks the picture has been pixlating lots and making a clicking noise making it unwatchable.

The signal and quality both ready 50-70% (well in the green).

I've tried a factory reset, reinstalling channels etc but to no avail!

This has happened before but only for a day at the most O-no

Do I...

A - Pay a man to come and & look at it.
B - Pay a man to install a motor for the dish. (will this solve the problem?)
C - Buy a new box.

Any comment very much appreciated!!!!

The chirruping sound is a noise the sky boxes make when the firmware needs updating but in your case obviously that does not apply. This time of year the sap is rising in trees and the leaves are budding, so is any flora obstructing the view of the satellite?
Alternatively you could have been knocked off true alignment by the strong winds we recently had. Your lnb could be failing, you could have water ingress into the cable affecting reception, is it any particular frequencey more badly affected, if so which? Have you recently bought a DECT phone or a WIFI router?
