Just use the drivers on the disk, they work fine.

PS. Just thought, do you have XP on your desktop?

Yes, MyTheatre only works with XP or 2000. also you will need a reasonable spec on the desktop, 1Ghz or better.

Hmm - Its a very average Gateway thing (even the laptops only a 233MHz)

Can the unit run without MyTheatre ?

Yes, but I don't think it will run on anything less than a 600Mhz, the MPEG decoding is done by the computer.

Should MyTheatre really work with the Hauppauge WinTV Nova? I've been using ProgDVB for 6 months without any problems (asside from the fairly frequent channel change crashes) but I always get a 'NO SIGNAL' from MyTheatre when I scan even though they work perfectly OK with ProgDVB.

Not sure if the early verions of MyTheatre support the WinTV Nova, but the new version 3.12 definitely does.

In hardware->DVB card, it (correctly?) identifies it as "Win TV Nova PCI Satellite (Internal Driver)". As I haven't used MyTheatre before, I wonder if I'm just doing something stupid? For example is there a setting somewhere for powering the LNB other than in DiSEqC? (I don't have a motor by the way). In settings, I select the satellite I want, Ku-lin etc and try to scan all, but I just get "no signal" for every transponder. I've looked through all the menus but nothing obvious springs to mind. And there doesn't seem to be any detailed manual. Any further thoughts or tips would be most gratefully received. Asside from ProgDVB which is a bit unpredictable (more so in later versions and especially changing channels quickly) there doesn't appear to be anything else for the Nova so I just wanted to give it a try (MyTheatre). If it works well and does what I want, I have no quibbles about paying for it - I'd just like to actually see it doing what I want first.

Which version are you using, have to say that I tried the first beta pay version and couldn't get it to work, 2.76 works well though (with a SS2 card)

Version number is 3.08 Rolf. Has it been like ProgDVB and just got worse with each version I wonder?

Unfortunately I only have the Technisat cards to test with so can't offer any real help, had a look on DVBNetworks, but whilst there were a lot of threads in the search with Wintv Nova and My Theatre, nothing really seemed to help. Might be worth a search there though, link is in Nobbly's Forum under Satellite Forums.
