National Geographic is listed on 11011 V 27500 and looks like a shared channel, used by different packages, along with two Fox channels and some music channels.
Try re-scanning the channel in, that might fix it.
Did you notice any scrolling text, over the last week, mentioning anything about it moving frequency?

It is still on that channel, 11011 V 27500 try deleting all National Geographic channels, listed on 16E, and re-scan them in, if it still will not open try contacting your card supplier and see if there is a problem, but as I can't see anyone else reporting a problem I think it might be at your end.
All the other Tring channels use Horizontal frequency, this is the only one that uses vertical, have you checked if other vertical channels are working?

I've been watching the FTA National Geographic channel on 11011 V 27500 at 16E for the past couple of weeks, and noticed that I cannot get it fta anymore. Is this actually a card problem do you think? i have already deleted the channels from my reciever and re-scanned, but still not receiving National Geographic that was fta.

National Geographic was on 16E 2 weeks ago, I checked, and it was opening, I haven't checked recently but you should be able to scan it in, which receiver are you using?

You will need to subscribe to something - premium channels like NG are only occasionally open or fta.

I suspect NG have been removed from the Tring package which is why you have lost access to it.

Not one of the better packages - last time I saw the channels I was appalled at the abysmal picture quality on most of their channels.

Interesting - may have been a pid change which has confused the receiver. Ah well never mind you have it back now :)
