15w 11531 H 3200 7/8 ID : DAD-4

showing NBC New York with ads and 'Primetime' last night...
 
I tried to PM you this question but wasn't allowed... So I'll take the liberty to hijack :-hijack your thread...

I see you have a 24" actuator in your 1.2m channel master...
Did you use a CM polarmount? Or a home made adaption of a bigger dish polarmount?
Any pictures?

No trouble, my friend.... Yes, I used a Channel Master 1.2 Polar Mount. I purchased it along with the dish...

Thought it was some interesting adaption... I'm still curious about the actuator... shouldn't 18" or even 12" be enough for that size of dish?

Possibly but I wanted to make sure I got from east horizon (as far as possible) and also west to it's limit...

hence 55e to 58w! altho it can move further these are all I can get without adding another small actuator for the incline...

Like the Avatar - the DAD feeds were known to show some top class TV well before it officially reached these shores - is that still the case?

Just to show I read your posts, your details state 62E to 58W yet your last post says 55E to 58W - but what's a few degrees amongst friends :-righton

glad you like the avatar... check out dad 4 after 1am and watch great NBC stuff although these dad frequencies often go dead or change a lot, it's great when we have it! new series of Joey, Will & Grace, The Apprentice usa etc..

my dish can move to around 70e and 65w but I can only view channels at 55e & 58w...

sorry for the misinfo...

also I dont know if you know CBS news is also on 16e nightly @ 11190H 5632 3/4
 
I get only sound and a flasing bar going down the picture from msnbc on 15w, 11524, 1500sr, any clues to getting the pic

I tried this this morning. Couldn't find it with my SS2/Progdvb, but my Comag SL65 has found it at 92% signal strength and 67% quality. I've been trying to find the thread I was looking at earlier, which talked about this, but I can't. This is using a Sky region 2 dish, with a Moteck motor. Currently called DAD-2, showing NBC news.
 
DAD 1 & 2 Showing Conan O'brien at the min. All clear here with a 65cm dish
