Need 2 cards for same encrypted channels?

I am subscribing a foreign channel (Telstar 5) with Viaccess encryption, in USA. The company sent me a smart card for decoding. According to lyngsat.com, my paid channels use Viaccess 2.3. Now I would like to watch (without paying) other language channels (from a different company) which use the same Viaccess 2.3 per lyngsat.com. With my limited knowledge, I thought my smartcard should be working on the other company’s channels if they use same encryption. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong, and kindly explain me why it is not working . Thank you for your answer in advance. Happy new year!

No no no, from what I read there is no chance that will work. The card generates codes to descrable the channels based on the data it receives from the satellite, when the card gets the data from channels you are not subscribed to it will simply ignore the requests to create a decryption code, and hence you will not get access to channel to which you do not subscribe.

Unofficial cards work slightly differently which is why they seem to work for every channel, this is only because they have the codes for all the channels.
