My Satellite Setup
azboxhd
fortecstar passion hd 90cm motorised dish
diablo cam,
My Location
dudley west midlands
got a hd passion running off a lemon 90cm motorised dish with a twin lnb....
got a dpl projector upstairs so was thinking of gettin a second box...
1st.....best box to get....{want one that dicrypts and au the most channels
2nd....do i need anymore equipment ...switches ect
3rd can i use both stbs at same time....

Hi, edthekid,

Since you already have a twin LNB no switches etc are required.
However only one of them will be able to move the dish.

But otherwise, yes, you can use both boxes at the same time, but only on the same satellite, obviously.


As for receivers, the TMs are one of the best supported at the moment. Unless you want to go down the Dreambox/Linux route.

great........are dboxes any good or dreamboxes...have been told they open more channels

I don't think they open any more, not sure, I have a TM.
I think its more of a case that the emu's are usually ahead of the patches. Plus the other advantages like possible cardsharing ( read the site rules!!), and the fact that they can read a Sky card, and the ease of update ( couple of button preses).
