Need help: Eurostat system

Hi-

I've been asked to try to setup a Eurostat system that's been lying around for a year or two and has never been used.
It's got a gigantic dish, and the receiver is still in the box and seems to be working ok.
I've got a satellite finder but I haven't a clue what direction it should be pointing in or what angle it should be tilted up at.
Previous people have tried and failed to get it working but they didn't really know what they were doing (just like me).
I'm in Afghanistan if that makes a difference to positioning info.

The main problem you are going to have is that aligning a massive dish is very difficult - the bigger the dish the narrower the acceptance angle of the dish.

You also need to be searching for satellites that are visible in your location, so forget the UK satellites at 28E - they are out of range for you.

What are you looking for in particular?
 
How big is the dish, and what do you have that attaches to the front of it ?
 
Yes - please post some pics of the dish & the lnb. Then our big dish experts have a chance of being able to help you.
