need help with cardsharing 400s and 200s

hi.

i have 3 200s and one 400s.

Witch images shuld i flash this boxes with if i wish to use
1) card reader
2) use card sharing with 400s as master

and if there is eny giude on how to seet upp card sharing.

You need NewCS on the 400s and Mgcamd as client on the 200s.

You set the account in newcs.xml and you setup the login details in newcamd.list

Do you run a custom image or the standard DGS one? I had some problems with Rudbox v.124 freezing when changing channel so hopefully want to goto DGS1.25 which fixes it supposedly. Also in the Rudbox images how do you control teh cams i keep seeing quoted but have no idea what to press!?! :-
* as default use allready in image : 1 mgcamd, 2 evocamd, 4 _newcs restart_, 0 restart current camd

If i can run DGS v1.25 can someone point me towards an idiot guide to manually install NewCS and MGCamd as i will be the guy on the left on Linux :-bash

Remove Rudbox 1.24, that release is full of bugs and freeze when you change channel, try the release prior to 1.24 released in December, i think 27th Dec.

There is no magic running Newcs or Mgcamd with Rudimage.

Telnet into the Relook as "root", goto the /var/emu folder.

Type "killall newcs" and "killall mgcamd"

Start the services by typing "./newcs" within the "/var/emu/" folder

Wait first til Newcs is started and then run "./mgcamd"

Sky card doesn't need the BOX-ID inserted, it will work anyway.

The official DGS image does not support any EMU what so ever.

You need to run Rudbox.
 
Strange, for me ruDbox 1.24 works very well, I've never had a hang when switching channels yet, suppose there is some diffrence on these boxes too as it seems to be with DB

Regarding how to start the cams in ruDbox there is a simplier way then to telnet to the box, just press menu-0 on the RC (button Menu and numeric button 0) to restart current cam, menu-1 to start mgcamd, menu-2 to start evocamd, menu-4 to start newCS
This starts the corresponding /var/scripts/menuX.sh
