Need Urgent help for Dreambox 7020 settings ip address

Hi,

I was trying to change my network settings in my

dreambox 7020 via the
" Dreambox ADVANCED SETUP UTILITY" and
during the Telnet session I ‘accidentally’ changed

the network settings in the Advanced section from

dhcp to ‘disabled’ and then closed my session, now

am not able to connect to the Dreambox at all .

When I press and hold the "Down " button and turn

on the Dreambox , the LCD screen displays the word

"STOP" but no ip address ,repeat no ip address is

displayed.

Am really stuck. Can anyone please urgently help me

detailing in a step wise fashion what to do to be

able again get the ip address of my dream box.

PS. Somebody suggested solving this problem using a null modem cable .I do have a null modem cable but do not know what to do with it

Would highly appreciate an expert to gude through out of this mess.

A null modem cable is used to flash a new image.

Can you boot the Dreambox normally and change the network setings using the Expert Panel? What image are you using?

Yes I can boot normally and I can change network settings from Expert Setup.

I use Gemini 3.4 image.

Then I suggest that You change the IP till a nice figur that You can remember, then press save (green) and You are done.
