Perhaps the wrong forum, but anyway.

I want to get trained up as a basic network tech and I was looking at this course

anyone dealt with these or done something similar with a good career outcome?

I'm fed up sitting in an office doing remote network trouble shooting for poor pay,
I wanna get hands on with the physical network instead.

I did my C & G 3667 Communications cabling course at Total Comms training in Harlow. I couldn't recommend them enough. If you haven't done that sort of thing before make sure you do the basic principles course as its a good starting block and needed to get the full certification, Which i have :D

They are quite near to Stanstead Airport so if you have to come in from a far that may help.

Have no idea about TNS, although if i do recall they were quite expensive comapred to TotalComms which is why i went with Total Comms instead, even though TNS is only a 30 minute drive from my house.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look them up. Stansted would be handy, an easy flight from Londonderry.
TNS would also be good because my parents live in Staffordshire giving me somewhere to stay.
More homework to do I guess.
