New and having difficulty with receptions

Hi,

We have just bought a Metronics 441525 twin box EVO II. We have managed to install it onto the roof and can access some channels, mainly qvc, thompson holiday, sky news and bbc sport. As much as we move the dish we do not get access to bbc 1, 2 or itv. How is it that we can receive bbc sport but no other bbc channel? We are in South West Spain, about an hour from Seville, an hour from Faro. Our dish is 80 cm. I have searched the forums but alot of messages are too technical for me to understand.

Any help would be really appreciated as the instruction manual is all in Spanish.

You will need a 1.3 minimum to receive all at 28.2 where you are.:)
 
Somebody close by has a spare dish that is around that size and has offered it to me a few days ago, he was throwing it away as he said he only managed to pick up german channels on it. Is it worth me picking it up and attaching this to the lnb we have???
 
Worth a try. If its a 1.3. What lnb are you using?
 
All it says regarding the LNB is that is is a LNB universal (does this make sense)?
 
yes its a universal lnb so will work fine. the dish size you have now is way too small for the uk channels and get the dish off the neighbour and try that out
 
Yea, will you have the correct type lnb, BUT with fringe area reception 'good quality' lnbs like invacom and inverto can work miracles. Any noise figures on the lnb case? 0.6, 0.3 etc?

Definitely!.He was probably only using his dish at Astra1(19.2e).:)
