New box , old card

1.2 dish in north mallorca, sky box 12yrs old!!

I live in north mallorca, and are thinking of getting a new digibox as mine is about 12 years old, (and still going) but the picture is starting to break up at nights now. I have a humax hd box aswell and that picks the signal up fine from the 1.5 dish. What i wanted to know is what is the best box to buy to pick up the weaker signal out here, and how do i pair my old sky card to the new box,as we have the full sky package, movies sports etc, and it ain't connected to the phone line for obvious reasons. Sattelite installers over here are trying to s### me over for nearly 300€ !! any help would be much appreciated.

Well you do not say what specification of box you have been offered for 300€ which is probably the reason why after 13 hours nobody has replied to you, added to the fact that a couple of installers in Spain post on this forum thus I doubt you will have endeared yourself to them either for the seemingly unreasonable comments made so far.
 
It was just a normal sky digibox you can get for 110 quid in UK, nothing special no sky plus or hd. I´m all for people making aliving , but last time i was charged 60€ for a remote , when i could have got one for 12 quid delivered to me !. I know there is a lot of great installers around , i know i used to use one , but he sold up and now the new bloke does take a liberty a bit, especially as there is only 2 installers in our region.
I´m sorry if anyone takes offence, but im sure you all knów of the ´cowboys. Anyways getting back to problem, i have now tried my box on a clients bigger dish and that seems to work better. I am currently using a 1.2 dish, what size dish do yu think would be good to have. I still think i will have to change my box as it is about 12 yrs old. Also if i change my dish do i need to change my LNB ? as its only about a year old (lightning strike nearby killed my old one)
