New card

Is it possible to call Sky and get them to send out a new card to a U.K address with out them wanting to come and install the dish and what ever. A friend here in Cairo wants my old box, his dad will look after paying the bills and everything all he needs is a card. What will be the best way to go about this?

Should be no problem. That's what I did. Had the card sent to my address in Dublin. Called sky and told them that I had a digibox from before and they just sent me the card. You won't get the 3-4 months halfprice viewing though and it still needs to be activated...

Sky will send a contract first so he will fill out the address etc and payment details(uk bank or credit card) then when he sends it they will then send the card to that address.

does any one know if sky will be implimenting a new card switchover?
some one said that they will be sending new series of cards soon
i have not seen any advertisements on this as of yet.
just the guide upgrade.

Somebody suggested in another thread that one was imminent, but not I've not heard anything about one and with 7 plus million to swap out, it is a very costly exercise.
