Hello All

I am new to this forum and I DONOT HAVE ANY KNOWDELGE about dish system/installation.

I am buying a new Humax Freesat HD PVR and would need to buy a dish and istall it and I am looking for help.

I would like to know:

1. Which dish is best to get proper HD reception?
2. To get some forgein chanels
3. Where to get the dish ?
4. How to align the dish ?
5. Whats the best lnb ?

I suggest you have a read of the stickies and some of the other posts as most of the answers to your questions are very open-ended at this point, but here are some answers,the best I can do with the info given:

1. It depends on which satellite, a minidish will do for 28E

2. It depends which foreign channels you want.

3. One of the site sponsors of course.

4. Twiddle it around a bit, adjusting the elevation and azimuth for best signal. Consulting dishpointer gives a rough idea for the direction. There is also a sticky on this subject.

5. It depends on the dish. The Invacom quad C120 is supposed to be one of the best, and I found it performed very well on my Fibo 90cm, but with a retail price of around 80 quid, it is probably not the best one to consider at this moment in time. I usually use the Inverto Silvertechs, they seem to work well every time I have used them, (only about a tenner retail:))
