The current Foxsat HDR is getting on a bit now. No 3D or 1080p support. Does anyone know if an updated version is being planned, please?
I have also read something about new chip technology for satellite receivers - anyone know the name please? I did but have lost my note. Thanks

Yes, there is an updated Foxsat due, but I cannot recall all the details.

Give me a while and I'll try to find a source/link.

Ok.

HDR2 was originally due earlier this year but has repeatedly slipped and now looks to be due for a 2012 launch but the good news is that they are using the new chip-set technology you mention.

This is little more than informed hearsay, drawn from other Forums and not truly attributable.

There are a line of new "G2" spec Freesat boxes coming in the not too distant future. Various manufacturers involved.
