Thanks everyone for the advice.
The issue for the I-CAN receiver not having Cielo / TV2000 and various other channels was due to bad cable, when I got there this morning I added the new TPs for Cielo HD and TV2000 and when I scanned that TP for channels, it was showing that the “Signal Strength” was good but the “Signal Quality” was literally 0.
so I quickly researched what this meant and apparently it means there was something wrong with the wire/cable from the LNB to the receiver, when inspecting, the cable indeed had various cracks and splits and over time I’m assuming it degraded the signal quality.
I completely re-wired the cable from the LNB to the I-CAN receiver and that sorted that one out completely, rescanned various TPs and picked up loads of channels she never even had before.
For the SAB Sky HD 4900, whilst I was re-wiring the LNB for the I-CAN receiver I also noticed that the dish had slightly moved (i used an app on my phone “Satellite Finder” to realign the dish, I think it worked well!).
So once I had sorted the I-CAN and realigned the dish, I literally added the new TP’s for the SAB Sky HD 4900, Rai 1 HD, Rai 2 HD etc and did a scan, picked up all the channels and also the Cielo HD/TV2000.
was a long day but at least my grandma is happy and has her channels back, plus more and all in HD!
I’ve got to now try and find some sort of channel list editor or a way of easily sorting out the channels for her (SAB SKY HD 4900) as there’s a lot of channels to go through otherwise, anyone know how I can easily do this on a computer or something?
thanks again guys.
