Hi,

Iran was one of the first countries on satellite in the mid- 1980's. There are a lot of DTH dishes in your country.

Hi all. Nice to be here, but I can't believe all the support and infomation on here, amazing.

Always had some intrest in satellite from TV to tracking them in space. I remember back in the early 90s my family moved in to this house that had a motorized system that you would hold down a button to move the dish and pick up a signal where a newsreader would be sitting, rehearsing his lines before he went live, great days. Never really had the time to look in to it, but now have some time on my hands so will get looking in what I can do.

Like the idea of going back to a motorized system, but have no idea where to start or even what to look for so begins the many, many posts and questions.
