Hi ibribr2 and welcome to the forum:)
Do you have a satellite system?
Codes? NOT in this website my friend.
It can help if you edit you system details and read the forum rules again before posting.

To MHKU So good to see a picture of my hero Peter Osgood.Once seen never forgotten.I remember the match after he broke his leg. What a goal! Not connected at all but it happened at half time---Somebody lobbed a large orange down the crowd and scored a direct hit on a bald head in front of me.I couldn`t help laughing and the poor chap thought it was me. The "main stand" was just a messy slope in those days.

Got to meet Peter when I was a bar manager near Maidenhead many years back, he would often turn up with another lovely guy Mick Channon (not a horse trainer at that time) and Alan Ball (who had an interest in the pub) on the way back from Ascot and Windsor races, had the privilege of chatting with them on several occasions.:)

I remember the first time he came in and somebody called him Ozzie, so I couldn't resist saying to him, "wow, it's really good to meet you mr Ardiles." :-rofl2 I got a cuff around the head for that, but he did remember me thereafter. :)

Hello and welcome blacklisted.

If by CS you mean card sharing then please be careful. Don't make any posts asking for anyone to share with you.

Hi, just signed up as i've found out my analouge tv signal is getting shut off at end of the year so i need to get uk "freesat" sorted as i cant get freeview signal here either

At the moment i'm thinking of getting either the Technomate 500 or a Linuxsat 500s "DM500 clone i think.."

still gota look into it abit more , most things i try and read up about before i buy them i can never find enough info, this stuff there is far too much info about, hard to find the simple answers :D

not very experienced with linux but i've got debian dedi serv i run few things on like shoutcast. so hopefully i won't need tooo much help :D

Welcome ToneDeff

This is really just a welcome area but a quick reply won't go amiss.

If you want Freesat (as opposed to FTA - Free To Air) then neither of those boxes will offer you the 7 day EPG that a dedicated Freesat box will give. A Freesat box is also simpler to operate, important if others are going to be using it in a living room environment.

On the other hand if you want to go the hobbyist/tech-head route then you've come to the right forum! The are several dedicated areas here where I'm sure that you'll get answers to your questions.

Enjoy posting.

Thought I'd better reintroduce myself due to not having posted in a few years....and the fact that the forums all new and shiny now:cool:

I'm a real live reverered/man of the cloth (in my mind;)) and anyone who disagrees with will go to hell (probably....well possibly.......probably not but should......ok won't...but that doesn't mean you can freely disagree with me willy nilly ok?:p)

I'm still a stableboy as well I see)(-red......and I hardly ramble at all now as you can see......only in prayer....although sometimes on forums....but not here.....nope, not here at all....succinct and to the point...

......errrmmm....so....hello again:cool:
