Hi all, haven't been here in a long time.....
My Emitor Satlook Micro G2 died today, so I am seeking a replacement of similar functionality and ease of use.
The Micro HD is a little too expensive, I don't do much installing these days, but do "emergency" stuff for neighbours and friends
Has anyone any recommendations please? I was looking at this list, the combos look tempting:

I also recommend this device, I have been using it myself for 6 years and am very satisfied. If you are still considering your option, then the price of your device on the Aliexpress website is much cheaper

hmmm that is a risk, depends on what the cost of genuine one would be from uk, and the difference.

How much do customs want to let this through? I live in Ireland and anything from the UK gets whacked with a customs bill, so from China, I shudder to think.
Guess I could get it sent to Northern Ireland then collect it from there (I'm 10 minutes from the border)
I would advise you to talk to the seller from China to make the price several times cheaper for customs. a very good seller, I bought an accumulator for Dr.hd1000combo from him.
I also live in Ireland

+1,
Good advice, Chinese sellers seem to be OK with quoting a reduced value on the packaging. Some even indicate as such on their product listings.

to make it clear that you can bargain with them, I publish a screenshot, the price of the battery is 72 euros, and it was bought for 43 euros. And you can ask to specify the price for customs even cheaper.

I don't know. That CRT display looks a bit past it to me.

The screen effect will be artifacts from images taken on a mobile phone.

Thanks, everyone, for the tips.
I got out of touch with meters having used the excellent Emitor for so many years, the newer ones seem confusing by comparison.
My first meter was a Lacuna, which was also easy and quick to use.
Thankfully I'm in no big hurry as I no longer do installs (or very rarely). I'll have to do more research

I own 4x Satlook Digital NIT. I paid less than 100 Euro for each, the last one was purchased for something like 25 Euro + Shipping. I got them from Ebay.

I recently bought a Satlook Color HD, also for less than 100 Euro.

I think that for hobbyist satellite DX, the Satlook Digital range is the best: usability of the GUI, once you learn it, is great. The spectrum is practically realtime with several sweeps per second, the DiSEqC implementation, especiall DiSEqC-1.2 (motorized dish) is excellent and you get to see the spectrum while rotating the dish.

Granted, the non-HD versions lack the constellation diagram and transponder lock (NIT + channel names), but are still very useful.

What is wrong with your Satlook Micro? If it is just the battery, you can replace it. If you broke the screen, you are screwed. Other electronics might be rerpairable.

My Satlook Micro is on a loop of "Low Battery" then it shuts down and reboots - endlessly, that is with the charger attached. It won't charge and enters this loop
I have had it for ten years, maybe more, replaced the battery pack once and it was fine last time I used it a few months back.
It is/was an excellent meter with fast spectrum, constellation, satellite ID, disecq et al.
I'll miss it :(
