Hi, my old Pug is due for its test this month, its an old 2002 and the clutch is on its way out so not worth spending on it, so its going to be scrapped

For the last two days ive been sat looking and looking to no avail :(, I hate this part of motoring its always a worry, I have while the 24th of this month until the test runs out on my old car, but hope I find something in the coming days :)

Another Pug? I had 2 406 autos. One did 250k and the other 200k before I got shut. No major probs except I had a front spring break on both - but this is not unusual according to the guy who looks after my cars. Swapped to a Merc this time and after 6 weeks it had a broken front spring. Silly thought..... stick it in for test and if it passes fix the clutch?

Pugs, especially older ones, go on forever. I had two 406s as well, went like trains and more reliable than my wood burning stove. Clutch (and the DMF depending on what car/engine you have) are consumables. Expensive ones but can give you a trouble free car for many more years once replaced.

The engine used the 309 and 405 (Mi-16 ?) was standard fitment in the BX19 16v. Easily tun(e)able.

Its a 206 3 door 2.0TD, but it had its day:(, it has an oil leak from the sump but engines 100% I had some tyres fitted a month ago I had too they was that bad  it was pointed out while doing the tracking the cat was blowing and the clutch,

Even though I can do all this work on my own I used to fix cars as a school kid onwards for a few years its just not worth having days off work to do it, and to pay someone would be twice as much as the cars worth :(, so its time to say goodbye.

Stick the old one on ebay for spares/repairs, some enterprising wheeler dealer will probably buy it to fix up or strip for parts, after all, "scrap value" is a scam...

My last car I scrapped a recycling company picked it up, scrap prices must have been better then than now, it was a 1ltr polo and I got £113 , whatever I do I will take the wheels off and sell them separately/keep them if my new car is the same size tyres,

Ive just travelled a 70 mile round trip, the car I went to look at wouldn't start :-dohWTF its not like I am spending a few hundred pound I am spending a few grand:(.

This guy's selling a pug 206 for spares, it's at £327 at the moment:

Far better than £87 from a dodgy trade-in site that probably sells it on for 7 times what they pay out...

Hi, i am going to look at another car tomorrow with a bit of luck i should have this but a 2.0 diesel sat on the drive this colour :)

I don't know; you pay for a playground for the kids; do they call you 'Jones the playground?'

You pay for a new community centre; do they call you 'Jones the community centre?'

But let them catch you sh___ing one sheep!!!!

They drive lovely nothing like being in a ford,

Keep dreaming

This car is absolutely, categorically not a Ford Mondeo

egr, turbo, brake pads and discs, injectors, anti roll bar stabiliser links
decat, pollen filter, heater blower fan, starter motor
anti roll bar bushes, abs sensor, rear wheel hub, alternator
tie rod ends ,abs sensor, wheels, clutch kit, injector pump, water pump
maf and map sensors , rake line hoses, brake calipers, dmf
fuel and oil filters, wheel bearings, wishbones and bushes,

reverse light switch, turbo heat shield, cruise control switch clutch
exhaust flexi pipe, camshaft sensor
Jaguar Map Disc's work in the Mondeo so possibly the DVD Drive as well.
