I intend to put another CM 1.2m behind the first CM 1.2m fixed on 7 degrees west, whats the minimun distance I can place a CM 1.2 behind a CM 1.2m?

More pics to follow in a week or two.

Just a follow up.

On the third pic.

The top dish is the CM 1.2m on a polar mount 30 west to 50 east.

The middle dish is a Triax TD 110 with Best LNB for 26 east Arabsat. Very happy with the Best LNB.

The bottom is Triax TD 78 with 4 output Maximum LNB for Astra 2.
As I reverse out the car I just clear this dish, wife measured the dish distance from ground to check the car would clear it.

Thats it so far.

Sat HQ looks good.

Minimum distance in being that you have a clear line of sight to the satellite and is not being obstructed by any movement of the other :)

Thanks for that but I need to know the distance ie how far apart? I'm thinking of having the new 3 inch pole higher in order to clear the front CM 1.2m. The new 3 inch pole needs the wall supports welded to it then 2 coats of Hammerite plus some silver spray paint. Then I'll connect it using threaded bar right through the wall.

More pics to follow.

Hello folks,
Took a few more pics of the new setup with lots more work to be done. I have to install my new 8 way diseqc, its all go here at Sat HQ.

On a Humax 5300 The Triax TD 110 with BEST single LNB 53%
ASC with Invacom Twin matching
Feedhorn 63%

To finalise I think the Triax with the BEST LNB cost €5 is a great combo.

I hope that was of some help. ;)

That is good i was given a 1.2m and 1.0m channel master dishes i tested both and got about 12% less signal with the 1.0m which seems to be the same as the triax which is really the same size as the 1m channel master i checked with a tape and the 1m channel master size is 110cm high by 105cm wide so it is the same size as the triax

It depends where in the arc the rear dish is pointing but if we were to say the dishes are directly one behind the other (at the same height) and both looking at 7W from Antwerp you would need at least 2.2 metres between them so the bottom of the rear dish has clear line of site over the top of the forward dish.

Hello Heuvos,
As per this thread _http://www.satellites.co.uk/satellite/dish-setup-single-sat-multi-sat-motorised-systems/143743-2-cm-1-2ms-how-close-behind-each-other.html

I've changed my plans and I won't mount another CM 1.2m on the same wall. I will place it in the garden, pics to follow.

I'm considering a Toridial T90 taking in 28.2 east to 5 west. That will cut down on dishes beside the house and I've loads of LNB's lying around to fill the dish.

Thanks for your input. ;););)

All changed at sat HQ.

On top CM 1.2M with quad Invacom and matching feedhorn looking at Nilesat.
TD 110 with Inverto quad looking at Arabsat.
T 90 with a Smart Octo for 28.2 and mixed LNBS for 23,19 and 13 east.

In the background CM 1.2M twin Invacom and matching feedhorn.

Those 3 dishes are bolted with threaded bar going into concrete and steel shuttering which I'll post later. Normally they'll stay up. :)

Thats a great setup, is this its final move.

I just bought a second hand asc 1.2 channel master with azel mount for 80 euro, like new, i replaced my older 1.2cm on a cm polar mount.
I am getting another one off the same guy for the same price, I cant stop buying them.

Enclosed a few URL pics.
