My Satellite Setup
Laminas 180 (Double Motor!)- Inverto BU (PLL) - Inverto KaKu - C Band - TBS6903 - TBS5922H (Worst card ever!) - Octagon SF 8008
My Location
Lombardy - Italy
Being a happy owner of a TBS 6903, i'd like to add a new card to my setup to tune S2X frequencies.
The easy answer would be 6903-X but i hear it's not a rocket on windows, and i don't have much time to play with linux

My choice would be TBS 6522H which i think it's well supported by CrazyCat's streamReader. the only doubt i have is if the card can open M.I.S. channels..

Does someone have such a card and can confirm it's a good choice?
Any suggestion?

Thanks,
John

At the moment TBS 6522H, doesn't work correctly with streamreader.
Blindscan non supported. I can use the card only with AltDvb and normal BDA driver
I wrote a message on CrazyCat discussion page on sourceforge and i'm waiting for a new streamreader. We are crazycat dependant at the moment.....

Fortunately or unfortunately, you want to put it, since 2010/2011, when TBS launched dvb cards, @Crazyscan has been and will hopefully remain the only developer to support these cards for a long time to come.
Ever since then, we have been dependent on his support. He has given them new life and, as a result, has made it possible for a community of enthusiasts to exist who would otherwise have remained just programs TV/Radio consumers and not signal searchers/dxers, as there are quite a few on many forums, such as this one.
Let's hope that Karkhiv, where he lives, will have fewer casualties and damage from the Russian aggressor.
Despite this dramatic situation, We must admire him for still helping and supporting the devices we use. He is loyal to this community anyway, without being asked.
So let's wish him well regardless of whether he can still help us or support our cards.:Y

your rant is totally misplaced. As you can see from the messages I post here in SatUK I think I am a kind and polite person. Probably because I am not a native English speaker, my message was probably misunderstood. I know that all i can do with my card is because CrazyCat give it life with his work (and for free!).
"We are crazycat dependant at the moment" means There's only one person who can solve this card problems and is CrazyCat.
I didn't want to rush him or anything else, just point out he's the only one we can rely on!

In the end i can join you in wish him well despite his country terrible situation,

sorry again if my message sounded rude, that was not my intention at all

My reaction to your message was one of support for our colleague in a potentially dangerous situation.
If I misunderstood what you wrote, I apologize, but I am happy we are united in our concern and support for someone doing us good without asking for anything in return.
If my answer was misplaced, it is because I focused not on what you want to ask @CrazyCat but on his outrageous situation.
You may not agree, but for me, what happens to him is more important than our specific needs.
It may sound pathetic in my reaction, but the combination of a brilliant mind and discretion is one of the rare human qualities in a creative personality like our forum colleague. :-respekt
Kind regards.

A little update (on the technical side:)):
I wrote to TBS explaining what CrazyCat said to me (some wrong in driver, maybe I2C read access) and today they released a new driver for the card (rel 2.001).
With the new driver the card is finally able to RF scan with streamreader and direct tuning every channel. At the moment only BLscan2 is supported and not BLscan.
But it's a big step forward!
