New Thomson DSI4214 good or bad?

the new Thomson DSI4214 Sky receiver is being recommended by our local supplier as "good for fringe reception"

Has anyone tried it out in the European sticks yet?

yes...... not enought good in tenerife, specially whit channel 4 .....better pace2600

I've tried a few,because thats all they sent me from england when i wanted paces,but i think they are 3rd place after the 2600 and pace 430 but then again with our 2D signal going up and down all summer,its hard to compare properly.

I also tested a few recently and compared it with couple of Pace 430's i have in stock...Not impressed at all...no where near Pace 430:-downt

As Zorba says, the Pace PVR 3 is easily the best of the bunch right now it works about as well as the 430....it may even have the same tuner! Its the one I recommend for people and buy in!

Just finished testing one here in the uk. It's not too bad compared to whats available new. But, compared to the 2600 C1, Javelin Minibox and DSN430 all made by Pace it's in a very poor 4th place
