Ordered this from Amazon but took longer than next day due to the snow.
Impressed with this, nice strong magnet and metal chassis (looked plastic on the pictures)

Has calibration which saves, you put it on a flat surface put it in calibration mode, press "Hold" when CAL1 is on display, rotate it 180 Hit "Hold" when CAL2 is on display and it's done. It can calibrate on a surface that's not perfectly level too. (You don't need to do this every time you use it, but I'm a bugger with OCD)

On the pics I have it sat on my desk, then I rotate it in Exactly the same spot and it reads the same, move it left right forward or back and the reading changes, but the least significant digit, so it's pretty sensitive and shows that this glass surface is not perfectly flat all over.

Came with a nice little case as well, seems to be the same as a "AccuMaster", Can't fault it at all for £18.99!
Now need to go up the ladder...

Thanks for the info - a digital level is on my shopping list for within the next few days, and this and the "only a faint signal..., threads will help a lot to narrow down the choice. :)

It will drive you nuts though, I've been going around testing things and even though they are level the surfaces are not perfectly flat!
 
One nice feature is the battery cover screws on and has a rubber gasket inside and it takes AAA's rather than coin cells (Which you never have when you need them)
Bit better design than clip on battery covers that always snap!

Probably need to level the house to the ground, and then start again, making sure all the floors are absolutely level - and then carefully adjust the legs on all the furniture :-rofl2
 
That was short lived, going to send it back haha, doesn't seem to keep calibration...

If anyone has a "Digital" type level/inclinometer check it on a level surface and rotate it 180, see what your readings are.
This will Cal and show 0.03+ rotate it and can show -0.10 and such. I know thats the least significant digit but that's not the point and its never the same twice which is what I find for a lot of "Electronic" measurement tools. Going back to a Stabila spirit level.

I used an App on my I phone with the Primesat dish install, worked well..
 
The iPhone app is pretty dam close to the digital protractor I have.

The app, only cost £0.99 :eek:

No it does work and most people won't notice. It's far better than the ones you can't calibrate.
But I suffer with OCD and that drove me nuts.

Ordering a Stabila with 0.5mm/m accuracy! At least I won't get annoyed with numbers.

Was just about to order one with rare earth magnets, then I realised... My poles are aluminium scaffold poles :-rofl2

Very accurate and rugged, I dropped it from a conduit I was installing 14 feet to the concrete, worked fine.

Would be interesting to know what your readings are looking at it, then rotate it 180 on the horizontal axis :)

Just tried my phone.. 0.2+ one way and 0.7- the other way.
 
Sorry I should have said "What I used" It's in one of my Nephews tool boxes right now, on their next visit I should take a look for it.

Here is an independent review on the level.

The next video inline shows one of their 28" levels, he flips it over and it read the same. (his bench was off by .8 degrees)
