Very nice, I go metal detecting, here are the only two gold coins I have found, if they was 1 year younger I would be a rich man now, so close but so far away, but still great finds:).

The only gold coins I ever found where a Victoria half sov ..and of course my 2000 year old South Ferriby stater..

:(Yes I remember now VS, Sorry to bring it up again, I have not been out for a while myself, I did manage two hammered coins on my last outing, I will be starting back very soon and will post my better finds up if I get lucky:),

Seriously though, that's quite the find, makes you wonder what else like that has been tucked away in a rather silly place just waiting to be found... :D

A few more bits of gold here found only a few years ago just lying near the surface of a farmers field:)
