Newbee question. Please help

I have a dm7020s with an internal 160gb HDD. Can I use a CF for images and the HDD for recording streams. (Because I have read somewhere that linux system doesn't allow HDD and Compact flash in the same time).
The fact is that i have already bought the CF.

Yes but...I tested 3 different CF and only one worked together with HDD... (alone, all the CF worked fine).

DM7020 + Gemini 3.4 + CF + USB + HD = OK
