Hi Chaps

I've just started looking into the linux stb arena. I don't subscribe to any cards packages and am therefore not interested in card sharing. My question is this, is there enough out there "freely" available to warrant buying a dreambox? At the moment I'm patching my TM for a bit of footie and the odd film.
Its a basic question but one I'm finding hard to get the answer to.
Any thoughts gratefully received.

The Dreambox won't help you a lot more than the TM.
Without a subscription to an official package you will just get the FTA channels and they are not that exciting.
