Hi i have been reading through the forum and was thinking about canceling sky it is costing me €91 per month:eek: i know i'm not going to get sky channels but don't know what setup to get there is just so much to try and unsterstand.I was reading that the vu + duo is a great box but dont know would it be any good for somebody new to this satellite it would be dear enough to get the dish and box and get it installed so want to get the right setup any help welcome just wondering what you would recommend for somebody new to this thanks.

Take your time and have a little read around. Deciding on a system, well that will depend on viewing requirements and budget.
 
As my collegue satelliteman says it all depends what you want to watch and how much you want to spend.. If you want to spend as little as possible then a basic kit can be had for under £100. This will only give you the free channels , but there are hundreds of those to explore in evaery language from Vitnamese to Romanian to Italian. HOWEVER dont expect huge amounts of English programming.

At the other end of the scale if you want HD 3pm football then you are looking at £1500 just for the annual subscription! Plus the dish & receiver costs etc.
