newbie needing help

I have got my self a humax pre-patched 5400, a DS9 card and an Elvis programmer (all recomendations from this forum), where do I get codes from & what do I do with them?
(I'm new to this so please be nice!)

(1) All newbies must read the board rules.
(2) as per board rules, please use our search function to locate relevant topics. There is a FAQ on programming wafer cards, and many posts on the Elvis programmer, on codes(keys) etc - as well as a specific keys forum!
(3) then come back with remaining specific questions and we'll give you all the help we can.
