Hi guys,

I've been considering buying one of these system set-ups for a while, and have now decided to make the plunge !!

Can you tell me if this system I'm thinking of purchasing is good:

Technomate 1500 CI+ Super (patched)
Technomate DISEQC motor
90 cm Dish
0.2 db titanimum digital LNB
Wall Bracket
20m Sat cable
Scart Lead
"How to patch" CD
1.5m Null Cable
4 x F-Plug connections
4 x raw plugs
Box of cable clips

All for the sum of £230

What do you guys think? Is it a decent set-up ?

Would I be able to get any sport/movie/adult channels with the patched box if it's kept updated ?

Still reading round the forums - I'm thinking of installing & setting up this system by myself - wise choice or not ?

Thanks for the help :)

Chris

Seems like a reasnoble price and a 90cm dish on a motor will get you quite a few sats whish i could have a motorised setup. DIY installation depends on where you plan to install the Dish and you need a few basic DIY skills. Fitting the mount and running the cable is easy compared to actually finding the satellites.

No, but they badge them. :)

The brackets they normally include in these deals are crap, not at all suitable for a motorised system and very hard to get plumb.

Hi crisUK

Sounds like a good system for the price, use good solid brackets and the largest pipe you can get in your mount, and make sure your pole is absolutley vertical to save you hassle later on.

Use a piece of scaffold pole or an off-cut of 40mm steel tube from your local steel stockholders.
