Newcamd client software

Hello everyone,

I want to write a newcamd client software for PC either windows or Linux.
Can any one of you help me to know how we encrypt the packets send between client and server.
How can I use cbc_crypt and ecb_crypt API? How can I install them, I am using cygwin on windows XP?

I there any sample code for this. I am finding difficult to understand the example code mentioned in protocol.txt file.

Can I get the newcamd software used by dreambox?

I am beginner so clouded with many doubts.

OK, I'm really going to open myself up for a severe beating now, but why do you want to encrypt the data sent between client and server? What's in the stream that you don't want to share?

Why don't you just use the i386 executable from NewcamD? Or G-pox?

let me get this right, you want to write a newcamd client but don't know how to because you're a beginner?

i-have-a-dreambox - database - emus (and no, Rolf Harris won't give you his) - reverse engineer a little, add salt and server into your windows, sorry, cygwin environment
