Ngrab unable to detect MAC addrss

Hello,

I can use Ngrab to record but it can't detect the mac addrress and therefore I can't establish a mount.

I entered my pc ip address + port 4000 , and when trying to detect mac address I got this error:

Please check your NGRAB Server or the IP

What should that be ?

Disable you Windows firewall and tray again.

Did you enter the correct PC IP address?
What is the Dreambox IP ?
Check it again and then click on the blue button.

Tried it before ... but it didn't help ...

Should I restart my pc when the firewall is disable to let that taking effect ?

I tried to set it up again today, but had to uninstall it first and then reinstall before I could get the setup menu.
Then the setup menu keeps putting a dbox IP like 196.168.xxx.xxx and I use 192.168.xxx.xxx, so I gave up. Not really worth it.
I suggest you use something new, perhaps VLC.

BTW I can record using Ngrab without any problems ...

How can I use VLC to record enjoying all the benefits of (Timer recording ----> Menu +5 ) ?

I read somewhere that Ngrab version: 1.0.0.3 is for Vista.
Try the older version. 0.7.75
I don't use VLC, sorry.
