Nice dish what is it please ?

My bro spotted this today whilst out metal detecting in Lincolnshire uk, I think the garden backed onto the farmers field, nice dish what size would it be ? and its use pointing in the direction it is please ?

Sadly, I know not what it's for: But, judging by where it's pointing, could it be a Radio Telescope?
