New versions of the Nickelodeon channels seem to have appeared on 28.2, Although the signal strength seems good (compared to other channels), they are breaking up. I thought it may be my DECT phone but turning it off has no effect (other channels that can be effected by the phone are having no problems) Does anybody have any ideas?

they moved to new frequincies i think on eurobird instead of astra 1n so bbc could use the trasnpoidners for olp[myic channels
 
Thanks for the info. Does anybody know why would be breaking up even with a decent signal strength? is it a clash with other channels?
 
Eurobird's footprint is biased towards the west so will be weaker in central Med.
 
Thanks for the reply. I still do not totally understand. (apologies for my lack of knowledge). I know snr readings from Dbox are not always the best guide. but for every other channel the mark is 25%, 24% Snr reading or under is when a channel starts to break up. These nick channels are reading at around 33-35%.
 
Didn't they move to one of the Astra North beam transponders?

i will check and get back with the answer i think it was eurobird because bbc is using all the free astra 1n and astra 2b and 2a frequncieqies ui think but i will check
 
They moved a few days ago to 11778 - on 2a north beam
 
In that case the footprint is therefore biased away from the Med towards the north!
